It’s not every day that you go shopping for an event production team, which is why it can be confusing and overwhelming at the start.
How do you know you’re choosing the right team for your event, whether it’s a conference, a gala awards night or a festival?
Well, that’s what a lot of our clients ask us about right from the beginning. And that’s why we’ve put together this guide!
Here’s what to look for in your full-service event production partner, and how AVisual Productions can help you make any type of event a total success:
Recent work examples
One of the first things you should look for in a production team is quality examples of recent work – ensure it’s no longer than 3-6 months old (this is because management of the company may have changed, and may have dropped in quality). Photos, videos and social media posts of an AV company’s recent work is what you need to check out before giving them the contract. You can assess their performance and see whether it’s the right style of work for your event, or whether it’s hitting a high-enough standard.
Experience in the event genre
How much experience does the team have in your genre of event? A team specialising in producing conferences generally isn’t the same team you’d contract for a 2000-attendee art exhibition – but that’s where AVisual Productions stands out.
We have experience in producing all sorts of events when it comes to audio and visual needs. Conferences, educational events, digital meetings, concerts, festivals, trivia nights, private events – at AVisual, we make all events a success.
Solid references
Checking out examples is one thing – talking to references is another. By talking to past clients of your AV company, you gain an insight into how smoothly operations went, their ease of doing business, their commitment to client services and how satisfied the client was with the overall experience.
Ask for at least three references of past clients. Any high-performing AV production partner should be excited to link you with previous clients – this shows that they’re proud of their work!
Equipment
Ask your production partner candidate about their range of equipment available. A great event production team should have access to high quality equipment, including lighting and sound systems, visual display equipment such as LED walls, cameras, staging equipment and more. Without good quality gear, an audio-visual team won’t be able to put on the best show.
